I went into wedding planning knowing that I would need a capable planner, as we were seeking an elopement abroad. I was overwhelmed with finding a planner when I stumbled upon High Emotion Weddings. On their website were dreamy pictures of elegant weddings around Europe. Their portfolio closely resembled my Pinterest board, a timeless look with unique, modern elements. Irene responded to my inquiry quickly and, right away, provided her availability to have a call. She was available if my husband or I needed anything, coordinated with all of the vendors, artistically arranged gorgeous detail shots for our photographers, and set up our beautiful cake and dinner tables in the most elegant way. Her husband, Mihai, was also invaluable on the wedding day. He was available to help my husband get ready and relax before the ceremony while also coordinating with the rest of the team. Irene and Mihai are the kind of people you wish to have around you on your wedding day as they are both extremely considerate, patient, and professional. My husband and I were able to be present in each moment of our day, from getting ready in the morning to having our romantic dinner together at the end of the night. The day was much more beautiful than I had imagined, and truly everything, from how it looked to how it felt, was us. In the beginning, Irene had helped me fine-tune my vision and she miraculously brought it to life. No matter how you choose to get married, a large wedding, or an intimate elopement, it's one day that you'll remember for the rest of your life. Fantastische Erfahrung: What can I say about Irene and Mihai except that they are the DREAM planning team. Our brief was not usual or straightforward - a very “unweddingy” wedding, bridesmaids wearing colourful suits, can we have black and white? It’s all about the party, schnitzel for mains, dancing between courses, party tunes post ceremony, can we dance outside until 4am, thousands of confetti poppers at a Viennese castle (they’re not the most laid back bunch), würstlstand for midnight snack etc etc - and we had 2x Covid cancellations and planning from San Francisco and London in between. Irene and Mihai took it all in their stride and brought our vision to life without blinking (at least that we saw!). It was the most magical day of our lives and exactly what we wanted. Irene’s attention to detail and organization is next to none. I thought I was über organised but she really beats me by a mile! She thought of every single detail - the ones I had thought of and about 500x more - making my life so much easier. She is honest in her views and able to advise properly, which I appreciated. She also knows how to select the best team of vendors to work with (and there are always options for varying budgets). She goes above and beyond to fulfill requests, even when they are new to her or different to what others would do. I’m still not sure how she sourced our custom würstlstand sign! She is incredibly acknowledgable about everything and anything to do with weddings and all the bits around it. Irene and team were also (unsurprisingly) incredible on the day. I didn’t have to even think about a single thing and was able to fully enjoy the day. No thinking about what is arriving when and where - dreamy!! Having Irene and team on our planning team was the best decision we made. I would do it a hundred times over. I can’t recommend her and her team enough!

Every aspect of our experience with Irene was simply fanstastic, and it truly displays her professionalism, great work ethic, and excellent taste in aesthetics. During that time, Irene kept in touch with us from time to time but only to check in to make sure us and our families were doing ok. She was able to provide us with so many valuable suggestions because of her wealth of knowledge and experience. She gave us choices and insights on the different topics, and made the navigation process as easy as possible. She was always organized, prepared and thorough. And when I say she is organized, I have never met someone as organized as her. Everything was presented to us very clearly, with references and hyperlinks for more information. We were always fully aware of what we needed to do and how far along we were in the process. And when it came to making decisions, she was always respectful of our opinions and considerate of our wishes and circumstances. She was never pushy about any subject matters and was always understanding, even though we were often tardy in our response times to emails and deadlines. When we encountered some major challenges, she thought ten steps ahead and presented us with the best options promptly and with our best interest in mind. In addition, she is well connected within the industry and has great relationships with many excellent photographers, videographers, florists, venues, etc. For example, we love our photographer, Nikol, and the work she has done for us. When we arrived in Vienna, she made us and all of our guests feel so welcome and excited for the celebration. On the actual wedding day, Irene and her husband Mihai were there for us every step of the way. They were attentive, thoughtful and painstakingly ensured that every single detail was in place and that every element went smoothly. We felt very well taken care of, and all we had to worry about was to have a great time. We had a blast at our wedding! Everything went on without a hinge, and our venue and all the decorations were simply breathtaking. Fantastische Erfahrung: On the morning of our wedding, we woke to the sound of howling wind and rain lashing at the windows of our room overlooking Zeller See, a small lake in the foothills. Marisa was a bit worried (and I worried for her) about how the day might turn out. The rain and wind were hard and cold, it was obvious that the outdoor lakeside ceremony and post-ceremony photographs in nearby Hallstatt were no longer in the cards. No matter. Thanks to Irene, we had the perfect day — better than we imagined from the start. All outdoor activities were moved indoors with no fuss (we did make a run at some outdoor photos and, well, they are unique and we love them). Irene delivered the wedding we hoped for: an intimate ceremony—just the two of us—in quiet, picturesque surroundings. We enjoy hiking and the outdoors and first considered Colorado, Alaska, Maine, and other U.S. locations. Not satisfied, we expanded our search and decided that Austria was the place. Two busy attorneys with absolutely no command of German (beyond counting to ten and the very little I remember my mother teaching me 30+ years before), we knew we would need someone to make all arrangements. Upon connecting with Irene over Skype, we felt comfortable and confident with the idea of working with her. She basically did everything for us: helped us acquire and submit all required documents, arranged for the time and place of the ceremony, arranged for the officiant, reserved our accommodations, planned lunch and dinner, and found our photographer and a stylist for Marisa. Without much help from us, Irene selected the colors and flowers that turned out perfect for the setting and really appeared magical amid the day-long downpour. After we failed to select the evening’s music in advance, Mihai stepped in with a perfect playlist for the dinner Marisa and I ate alone, by the lake, a fireplace behind us. As if Irene had not done enough for us already, she gifted us a sachertorte. Our entire experience working with Irene in advance of our wedding, the day before, and the day of our wedding was wonderful. She was patient with us and answered all our questions. We may have frustrated her with our lack of input—I felt at times we were leaving much in her hands—but she really is talented. And very kind! Irene and Mihai made great companions for dinner the night before the big day. Still, more than two years later, my memories of that day are as vivid as if it were yesterday. And this message is far, far overdue. We cannot thank Irene and her team enough.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I don't know that I can adequately convey how absolutely wonderful Cristina and Irene were throughout the entire process of planning and executing our destination wedding. Not only did they do a phenomenal job, but they did so under what were (at least for me!) some incredibly challenging circumstances: we are an American couple, living in the UK, who wanted to get married in the Normandy countryside. Did I mention that neither of us speak French? This meant that Cristina and Irene had to seek out and cultivate relationships with an almost entirely new team of vendors, organize communications with a couple in England, and coordinate events for an American guest list... Not only did our three days of wedding events come together splendidly, they did so with almost complete reliance on Cristina and Irene's talents, patience, organizational prowess, and impeccable design. To say it was a perfect day is a vast understatement. Cristina and Irene put together a beautiful welcome dinner for us near our venue in Caen (not the first place one would think of for outstanding French food and yet they managed to secure exclusive use of a Michelin star restaurant there), our wedding day (held at the Moulin de Bully - a gorgeous setting, but necessitating that all design elements be brought in from elsewhere to achieve the classic, elegant feel we were after), and our day after brunch (also held at the venue). Each event was beautifully crafted with obvious emphasis on the wedding day itself. Again, words do not do justice to the beautiful day Irene and Cristina crafted for us. It was perfect and when I say perfect - if anything did go amiss with the day, I never heard, knew, or needed to do anything about it. The HEW team handled it. I got to enjoy the entirety of my wedding day with the people I loved. I was able to peruse the table designs as my florist cheerfully went about putting together designs, soaked up the sun during a break with my hair and makeup artist, witnessed all my stationary and guest favors come together, and enjoyed a lunch prepared and packaged for us by our caterers. It was heaven. Irene kept us on time for the ceremony, the quartet played the loveliest rendition of one of my favorite music pieces of all time, and my DJ handed me a microphone just in time to read my vows! I got to actually eat the phenomenal food I had chosen (how many brides can say that?) in the beautiful atmosphere and ambience created by Cristina and Irene. Cristina and Irene had created a Normandy wedding team out of thin air and managed each moving piece seamlessly. I don't know that I will ever be able to thank them enough for my wedding day and I can't imagine trusting anyone else to have carried out such an undertaking. This awesome duo then helped us find fantastic vendors to pull the details of the day together. We choose the Schloss Fuschel Hotel for our Wedding location. It’s beautiful and we could escape into our own world for a few days where we could be spoiled. Irene and Mihai helped us with every detail from reserving our room to the ceremony and dinner location at the hotel. The make up artist, the salon blow out, the nail appointment, the massages, the champagne, the five course dinner, the wedding cake, all of the beautiful flowers, the amazing Katka Koncal and her husband, Daniel, for the stunning photography ......absolutely everything that we needed they helped coordinate. Ultimately we could not have had a better experience and we couldn’t say enough nice things about these two wonderful people.

I found Irene online through a google search and was quickly impressed with her refined style and website. I emailed her and she promptly followed up to secure us as clients. I had so many questions and Irene answered them right away. She took charge and helped set expectations for the months to come. I always thought I was organized, until I met Irene. She is SO prepared, so careful, considerate and thoughtful. I can’t imagine having anyone else to work with. I thought that planning a wedding in Austria while living in Canada would be tough, but Irene made it seem effortless. Fantastische Erfahrung: High Emotions organized our proposal. It was totally magical and out of this world. They booked a hotel that was originally a castle and there was a violinist playing our favorite songs. I was mesmerized by everything especially the professional pictures they took. The team is extremely friendly and professional. They can do pretty much anything you’d request. Ofc I had no idea about all the arrangements until my fiancé was on his knee. The proposal was followed with a wonderful romantic meal and a lovely chocolate box from the team. I wish them all the best!!!

The weekend included a Friday rehearsal dinner, Saturday Catholic church wedding and palais reception dinner and Sunday brunch on Kahlenberg. Vienna seemed the perfect location. We chose High Emotions and were delighted with the result. Organising a wedding from half a world away was always a challenge for a couple of perfectionists but Irene and Mihai had the contacts and put together a perfectly wonderful day. We followed her guidance and were not disappointed, from choice of hotel, a truly spectacular venue to involving such lovely people and a truly wonderful occasion.

So, at first we tried to organize our little elopement wedding by ourselves, but after a few months we realized that organizing a wedding by our selves in another country is quite hard and too time consuming. Especially if you do not have any connections, contacts of the vendors and so on. So we decided to start our hunt for a wedding planner knowing three things: planning even a wedding for two is a lot of work; we both had really busy work schedules and we wanted our day to be well coordinated and stress free. Then we started to search wedding planners in Vienna and found Irene. This was our best decisions - communication with Irene was always smooth and friendly. Irene made the entire process so easy and stress-free for us. During our meetings, she seemed to know exactly what we were looking for without trying too hard and our day was beautiful because of her help. She listened all our wishes and made them happen :) Every now and then she ran down a checklist to be sure we hadn't overlooked anything and made also suggestions on any decisions we still needed to make. All the coordination on our big day was flawless, the wedding venue, the cake and the flowers…everything was beautiful. Also the make-up artist that Irene suggested was beyond of all the expectations. She was very helpful to get everything for the big day coordinated! Fantastische Erfahrung: I would like to thank Irene for making an intimate and small wedding the biggest event in our lives! Hiring Irene was the best decision I made in the process of planning my wedding. She made being a bride much at ease with her help, advice and support every step of the way. My husband and I traveled from California to Austria for the first time in May 2017 to be married. Irene, as thoughtful as she is, even had a special surprise waiting for us upon arrival to the hotel! We immediately fell in love with Austria and were delighted that we chose to have our wedding there. The architecture, cuisine and culture are incomparable to any other place we have ever been. We could not have picked a more beautiful place to be married or travel with family. Two days before our wedding I was stuck with food poisoning. This made me a bit anxious before the wedding, but Irene had everything perfectly arranged. Our wedding day turned out better than I had ever anticipated. Irene provided elegance in every detail of the day, from the music to the flowers, even down to the name cards and table linens. We had a tiny wedding of just immediate family. Part of our wedding day included a photo shoot throughout the city. Irene created a separate plan for our family. Her attentiveness was beyond sincere and greatly appreciated by all of our guests. I had planned separately a reception style weekend for friends in Italy. My one regret is I did not have Irene help me plan this reception as well. Although the weekend turned out wonderfully, it was missing the stylistically tasteful, chic and romantic atmosphere Irene created on our wedding day. Also a quirky part of our wedding festivities was that I ordered the exact same cake, using the same instructions in Austria and Italy. I must say the results were translated quite differently and Austria was definitely the winner in taste and design. Thank you Irene for everything- it was truly the most beautiful day of our lives.
